Tent Site – Turn onto our small dirt road – Buck Road. Park in front of the shed.
Check in time is anytime from 3pm to SUNSET as it can be challenging to find our home in the dark. We invite folks to the farmhouse for an overview of logistics and to sign waivers. We hope you can respect the check in hours, but are willing to work with you if you need to arrive later.
Check out is noon. Feel free to reach out if an extended check out is needed.
Quiet hours are 10pm to 6am.
Guests are responsible for their own trash/recycling. Please reach out if you need a trash bag. Our personal trash is collected for two weeks + and graciously disposed of in someone else’s dumpster. We do our best to minimize our waste and for that reason can not take on anymore. Being in a rural area, we don’t have many recommendations other than trying your best to reduce waste and see if a gas station has a trash can.
You are welcome to fill up potable water from the hose outside.
Cancellation Policy - Full refund available if notified one day before arrival. If you are arranging a cash payment and cancel day of, you will be requested to send payment a different way.
Feedback - You will receive a CHECK OUT email after your stay.

Jam Brook Farm sits on a quiet dirt road in Searsmont, where we live and work as part of an active farmstead. If you’re looking for a perfectly polished home designed solely for guests, this might not be the right fit. But if you’re drawn to rural life, enjoy seeing projects in motion, and appreciate the charm of a 150-year-old home in the making, we’d love to have you. Curiosity goes a long way here—we have plenty of hopes and dreams in progress!
The vast majority of our guests are wonderful, encouraging us in our journey of restoring our home and growing our farm. But occasionally, it’s not the right match, and that can make for an unpleasant experience on both sides. We wholeheartedly welcome guests from all walks of life, but we do ask for open-mindedness and a spirit of appreciation for the work we do.
