THE TENT SITE
Nestled by the pond, this peaceful tent site offers a private fire pit, a picnic table, and a cozy woodchipped area for your setup. It’s just a short one- to two-minute walk from your car, and we’re happy to provide a garden cart to help with your gear.
If you’re traveling in a van, small camper, or truck topper, you’re welcome to book this site too! We’ll do our best to arrange a convenient parking spot for you, though it may be near our shed, close to our home.
THE CABIN
Tucked at the edge of the forest, this cozy cabin features a loft bed, a rustic kitchen, and a small porch overlooking lush ferns. You can park nearby, but expect a short walk to reach the cabin.
The tin roof adds to the charm—especially in the rain—but if you’re a light sleeper, we have earplugs available. There’s no heat source, so pack accordingly for cooler nights. A small fridge will be on and ready for your use.
We provide bedding, but guests will need to put it on themselves. To keep things fresh, we require that you use the fitted and flat sheet so we don’t have to wash the blankets as often.
For cooking, we store the “kitchen tub” with a camp stove in our home to keep it tidy. We’ll provide everything you need at check-in.
AMENITIES & DETAILS
Wifi - We have a wifi extender wired to the cabin. Wifi is not perfect, but it should work. Tent site may have limited access. Username & password are both ‘JamBrookFarm’
Electricity - The tent site will have an extension cord option if electricity is needed, but may not reach directly to your site. The cabin has multiple plug-ins available.
Shared spaces - At any given night the tent site and cabin may be booked. We may also have friends or visitors enjoying the outside space and staying at our home. There is a central woodchipped area with a firepit, picnic table, and string lights where everyone is welcomed to mingle. This is near the cabin and the parking area. We do our best to set expectations accurately but there is a chance you will be bumping into other guests. We try to bring good people here, so it could be fun. An open-minded, optimistic mindset is a must!
Outhouse - Our outhouse uses a bucket system. We provide hand sanitizer and a handwashing system. It goes best if all peeing is done in the woods, but we understand that can be uncomfortable for some. Just no standing and peeing into the bucket. After using the outhouse, put two scoops of wood shavings on top.
Shower - The outdoor shower has hot water available. It is on the edge of the woods, with woodland privacy fencing, but no locked doors. The water collects into a bucket that you will have to set aside once filled for disposal.
Firewood - Firewood is provided free of charge. We try our best to keep it off the ground and dry. You can also grab down wood from the forest. If you need fire starting supplies or a lighter just let us know. We can offer s'mores supplies as well!
Free range birds - We have chickens and guineas that roam the property. Guineas are known for their loud call. They have been practicing this from the roof tops (literally) at 6AM. Expect to be awakened by the noise.
